A fleet of 26 electric vehicles decked their hubcaps for a festive drive from Gibsons to Sechelt on Dec. 19. Included in the parade were Santa’s Sleigh and Rudolph. Bystanders watched from driveways despite the torrential rain. The Sunshine Coast Electric Vehicle Association, which organized the event, made donations to the Sechelt Hospital Foundation in support of frontline workers and the Elves Club.

Electric Vehicle Parade World Record Set In The Netherlands
Although the Guinness Book of World Records has yet to officially recognize this substantial feat, 746 electric vehicles paraded in the Netherlands, on the A270, from Helmond and Eindhoven, to set a new world record. The 2.2-mile (3.6-kilometer) stretch of road was closed in Brabant, a province in the south of the Netherlands, to make way for the festivities.
